Jen and Justin - 10.19.13

Yes, I know it is Thanksgiving and the last thing I should be doing is blogging...but its been a week or so since I posted something new and I have a few hours to kill before I crack open a bottle of bourbon and gorge myself on an amazing feast...so I figured why not.  Besides, I've been meaning to get this wedding posted all week but things kept getting in the way...so the calm before the Thanksgiving storm seemed like a good time to get a little work done. Jen and I have known each other since we were kids...like Yosemite Sam on your t-shirt, velcro shoe wearing, juice boxes are awesome kinda kids.  I'm pretty sure my mom has a basket of pictures somewhere from my 6th birthday party...and Jen was there.  We grew up down the street from each other, rode the same bus, shared many of the same teachers and classes.  In fact, I think Jen was my first official date...yep, we were in 4th grade and we went to a magic show together...our parents were in the row behind us and believe me...the romance abounded. :)

You can imagine my excitement when Jen, one of the last remaining childhood friends that I still have contact with told me she was getting married and then asked if I would be there to photograph it.  There is nothing better than working with friends, especially the ones you have known practically your whole life.  I had only met Justin a handful of times but it didn't take long for me to see that he was perfect for Jen.  Their personalities blend together with a healthy abundance of dry humor, sarcasm and playful one liners that would have Mitch Hedberg taking notes.

In all seriousness, it was an absolute honor to be there to photograph this day for you both.  I wish you nothing but the best in the life you are building together.  Congrats!
